Italian wine exports as of February 2024

After the decline in 2023, Italian wine exports are recording a good recovery in the first two months of the year. After the +13% in January, on a slightly more difficult basis, February was also positive, +6% for a balance of the value of exports at +10% in the two-month period, i.e. 1.15 billion euros. In addition to the starting point, which will become even easier in the central months of 2024, a couple of notes need to be made. First, exports are growing above all thanks to the volume, which grew by 8% to 3.2 million hectoliters: as we know, the 2023 vintage was poor and this at a certain point will become a brake.
