[Korean Farmers' News Agency, Reporter Kang Jae-nam] The Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Agricultural Technology Institute (Director Ko Sang-hwan) announced that it is developing specialized complexes to expand the export of domestically bred Gold Kiwifruit and strengthening customized technical support to enhance export competitiveness, thereby targeting global markets. According to the Agricultural Technology Institute, the export volume of Jeju Gold Kiwifruit increased by 77% from 152 tons in 2021 to 269 tons in 2024, accounting for 59% of the total domestic exports. The Institute plans to establish an integrated support system to develop export-specialized complexes and specialized farms for different Gold Kiwifruit varieties, aiming to increase the export volume of domestically bred Jeju Gold Kiwifruit from 178 tons in 2024 to 400 tons by 2028.
