Kazakhstan and Singapore to launch an agro-industrial giant in Kostanay region

In Kostanay region, a large-scale investment project for the deep processing of grain has started with the participation of the Singaporean company XIYU AGRICULTURAL PTE LTD, reports the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan. According to the information, the total investment will amount to approximately $250 million, and the implementation will take three years. The goal of the project is to create a modern agro-industrial complex capable of processing annually: • 300 thousand tons of wheat; • 220 thousand tons of feed grain and barley; • 200 thousand tons of sunflower. The enterprise will also engage in the production of citric acid, gluten, and sulfuric acid. It is noted that to launch the project, the company acquired the Tobolsk elevator with a capacity of 90 thousand tons and a land plot of 20 hectares.
