[Agricultural, Fisheries, and Livestock Newspaper=Reporter Nara Park] Asan City (Mayor O Se-hyun) is hosting a two-week agricultural training program for Kenyan agricultural officials. This training is part of the global training program of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), organized to enhance agricultural capacity in developing countries, with Asan City stepping up to collaborate. Fifteen rural guidance officials from Kenya are participating in the training. They will focus on learning the cultivation techniques of five crops, including rice, potatoes, and soybeans, which are majorly cultivated in Kenya. The educational curriculum prepared by the Asan Agricultural Technology Center is not limited to simple theoretical lectures, including the Department of Middle Crops at the National Institute of Crop Science, the Institute of Agricultural Research in Aged Land, and direct sowing.
