Morphological characteristics: The dorsal fin is located above the pectoral fin. There are no white spots on the lateral line pores, and when the mouth is closed, the lower jaw is exposed towards the front. The dorsal side of the body is light brown, and the belly side is silver-white. Ecological characteristics: Distribution: South Sea, East Sea, Jeju Island, Japan, China, South China Sea. Migration: The leaf-shaped larvae hatched from the spawning grounds migrate northward along the Kuroshio Current and the Tsushima Current to the waters around Jeju Island and the southern part of the East Sea. Spawning: A temperate species, the spawning period is from June to October. Spawning grounds are in the southern waters of Jeju Island and the East China Sea. Habitat: Habitat depth up to 200m. Growth: It grows up to a maximum total length of 41.5 cm.
