Lambayeque's exports to the exterior showed a solid recovery in the first four months of 2025, reaching $239,144,000, representing a 36% increase compared to the same period in 2024 ($176,431,000), reported the Exporters Association (ADEX). This positive performance (36%) occurred after registering a -26% drop between January and April 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, due to several factors, including lower blueberry shipments. The growth recorded so far in 2025 was mainly driven by the dynamism of the agricultural sector, both traditional and non-traditional, which represented 98.6% ($234,333,000) of the region's shipments to the world. The agro-industry, with $218,706,000, experienced a 43.1% increase and concentrated 91.5%, while traditional agriculture, with $15,627,000, achieved a positive variation of 7.2% and represented 6.5%.
