Between January and April of 2023, Peru experienced a decrease in the volume but an increase in the value of its lemon oil exports, compared to the same period in 2022. The country exported 275,786 kilos for a total value of US$ 19,559,027, a significant increase from the 389,924 kilos exported in Q1-Q2 2022 which were valued at US$ 19,107,761. The Netherlands was the primary recipient, accounting for 33% of total shipments, followed by the United States, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Ireland, Spain, and Uruguay. Notable exporters included Limones Piuranos SAC, Agromar Industrial SA, Procesadora Frutícola SA, Global Citrus International SAC, and Aceites Escenciales del Perú SA. Overall lemon oil exports for 2022 reached 803,175 kilos, valued at US$ 39,808,093.
