The article outlines the efforts by the Department of Livestock Development in Thailand, led by Somchuan Rattanamangalanon, to spread rabies awareness and reduce its incidence among animals. Despite these efforts, rabies was still identified in 226 out of 4,746 animal samples in 2024, with cases reported across 11 provinces and 213 points across 31 provinces. The majority of the cases were in dogs, but other animals like cows, cats, buffalo were also affected. In response, a ring vaccination and surveillance system have been implemented to control the spread of the disease.
