The price of maize for export from Ukraine has increased while transportation costs have decreased, leading to an increase in purchase prices for processing companies. Corn purchase prices have risen by $3-4 per ton to $159-161 per ton for delivery to a Black Sea port. This is due to increased competition and speculative growth of quotations in Europe and the American continent. However, global corn prices are expected to remain under pressure due to weather factors, but high inventories and low demand are also contributing to the market situation.
