Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade has issued recalls for agricultural products with excessive agrochemical residue levels, exceeding EU regulations. An incident involved a batch of fragrant rice being recalled in Belgium. Other harmful substances like chlorpyrifos ethyl, profenofos, sulphites, nitrofurans, propargite, and fenobucarb were also detected in Vietnamese exports to the EU. The Ministry is taking steps to enhance quarantine measures and has advised exporters to abide by the importing country's regulations to avoid product revocation and damage to corporate reputation.
