In March, US beef exports to the Caribbean saw a 16% increase from the previous year, with the second highest export value on record. This growth was largely due to record-breaking exports to the Dominican Republic, which increased by 17%. The first quarter also saw an 18% increase in volume and a 14% increase in value in Caribbean exports, including to the Netherlands Antilles, Leeward-Windward Islands, Cayman Islands, Barbados, and Turks and Caicos Islands. The Middle East's demand for US beef also rebounded in the first quarter, with a 30% increase in exports to the region. Despite a 5% decrease in March beef export volume to Mexico, the market posted a solid performance with a 3% increase in export value. Brazil has also emerged as the second largest supplier of beef to Mexico since gaining access last year.
