Mexico and New Zealand are looking to increase technological cooperation to enhance the productivity, sustainability, and inclusivity of Mexico's agriculture sector. This was highlighted in a virtual meeting between Mexico's Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development, Víctor Villalobos Arámbula, and the new New Zealand ambassador to Mexico, Sara Meymand. The meeting aimed at developing an action plan to promote productive projects in Mexico, with a focus on providing technology and support to agricultural and livestock producers. The substances most exported from Mexico to New Zealand in 2020 included beer, bananas, tequila, and unroasted coffee, while the main imports from New Zealand were dehydrated butterfat, casein, cheeses, and sheep meat.
