Midagri co-financed more than S/233 million in goods, equipment, and supplies for cocoa and derivative-producing families.

Families from agrarian organizations, dedicated to the cultivation of cocoa and its derivatives, received more than S/233 million in goods, equipment, and inputs from the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri), through the Agroideas program, with the aim of reinforcing the production level of this fruit and all its presentations. Midagri reported that this amount corresponds from 2010 to date, achieving the execution of 396 cocoa project interventions nationwide, which correspond to 182 business plans, 178 productive reconversion projects, and 36 entrepreneurship plans, benefiting agrarian families. According to Agroideas, the business plans consist of the delivery of goods, equipment, and inputs, which will allow for increased production and added value to cocoa, as well as technical assistance to producers. A total of 182 plans were developed in Cajamarca, Junín, Piura, San Martín, Amazonas, Ayacucho, Cusco, Ucayali, Huánuco, Pasco, Lima, Tumbes, and Loreto. ...
