The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has reported an increase in the prices of vegetables in some areas, largely due to normal price fluctuations during the Spring Festival. The market supply is adequate and the planting area for winter and spring vegetables is expected to increase by 1 million mu, leading to a slight increase in the total amount of vegetables on the market in the first quarter. By the next month, the market is projected to have 48 million tons of vegetables, marking a year-on-year increase of 2.6%, and 43 million tons of vegetables are expected to be marketed, up 3.1% from the previous year.
