Tra Vinh province in Vietnam is currently facing challenges in its pig farming industry due to low animal prices and increased feed costs, leading to no profit for farmers. The situation is further worsened by the complications of African swine fever (ASF), with 6 clusters and 124 pigs suspected of the disease. The Department of Livestock and Veterinary Medicine is coordinating efforts to suppress the epidemic, and farmers are advised to monitor their herds, manage the source of piglets, and take precautions against ASF by regularly disinfecting the rearing area and preventing animals from carrying the virus.
