New bio-input technologies

By Álefe Borges* To face the challenge of the bio-inputs market, Bionat Biological Solutions invests in new products based on fungi and bacteria. Around R$ 40 million has been allocated to the bacteria factory, one of the most modern in Brazil, with the capacity to treat 35 million hectares with its exclusive and unique products in the market. Among the technologies, there is innovation for the control of the sugarcane weevil and coffee borer and for the total control of caterpillars at any stage of development. Bionat's actions helped the Essere Group to generate more than R$ 530 million in 2024, a growth of 23% compared to 2023, an extremely positive result because 2024 was a difficult year for agribusiness.
