Moldova has introduced new regulations for the production, quality control, certification, and marketing of grapevine vegetative propagation. This move is aimed at ensuring a higher quality of planting material for the wine sector, in line with EU directives. The regulations also assign a biological category to planting material, providing greater predictability and security in production. The new framework also includes stricter inspection and control procedures to maintain plantation health and more transparent marketing practices with clear rules regarding packaging and labeling.
