Ukraine consistently ranks among the top ten global exporters of key oilseed crops. Oilseeds accounted for almost 14% of Ukrainian exports in 2024. This is reported by the press service of Agrotimes. Unlike grains, the export of oilseeds shows a clear geographical concentration – almost 75% of all oilseed exports in 2024 were directed to EU countries. Export destinations: Europe – 75.7% Africa – 10.0% Middle East – 9.6% Asia (other countries) – 4.3% Export structure by crop: Rapeseed – 54.5% Soybeans – 39.6% Others (sunflower seeds, mustard, flax) – 5.9% Rapeseed and soybeans together form 94% of export revenue, which, on the one hand, emphasizes the strategic importance of these two crops, and on the other, creates a risk of dependency on global demand and trade policy in the key sales ...
