On October 16, the "Wholesale Price Index for Agricultural Products 200" increased by 0.34 points compared to yesterday.

According to the monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the "200 Index of Wholesale Prices for Agricultural Products" on October 16 was 119.41, rising by 0.34 points from yesterday. The wholesale price index for "grocery basket" products was 120.44, rising by 0.40 points from yesterday. As of 2:00 PM today, the average wholesale price for pork in national agricultural wholesale markets was 18.02 yuan/kg, down by 1.0% from yesterday; beef was 66.22 yuan/kg, up by 0.4% from yesterday; mutton was 62.07 yuan/kg, up by 0.7% from yesterday; eggs were 7.46 yuan/kg, up by 0.3% from yesterday; and white-feathered chickens were 17.73 yuan/kg, up by 1.3% from yesterday. The average price for the 28 key monitored vegetables was 5.03 yuan/kg, up by 1.2% from yesterday; the average price for the 6 key monitored fruits was 7.01 yuan/kg, down by 1.1% from yesterday. Carp was 19.84 yuan/kg, up by 0.9% from yesterday; crucian carp was 14.08 yuan/kg, up by 1.1% from yesterday; white sturgeon was 9.94 yuan/kg, up by 4.4% from yesterday; and large ribbon fish was 40.33 yuan/kg, down by 2.5% from yesterday.

Today, among the 46 varieties of fresh agricultural products in the domestic wholesale market that are under key monitoring, the top five in terms of price increase compared to yesterday were zucchini, white sturgeon, cucumber, tomatoes, and pumpkins, with increases of 4.4%, 4.4%, 4.2%, 4.2%, and 3.2% respectively; the top five in terms of price decrease were pineapples, large yellow croaker, large ribbon fish, pears, and Fuji apples, with decreases of 3.6%, 3.0%, 2.5%, 1.5%, and 1.5% respectively.
