Brazilian exports of orange juice began the 2025/26 season in decline. Between July and September, the period marking the first quarter of the cycle, the country earned US$ 713.6 million, which represents a 17.6% reduction compared to the same period of the previous season, according to a survey by the National Association of Citrus Juice Exporters (CitrusBR). In volume, shipments totaled 189.2 thousand tons of FCOJ equivalent (frozen concentrated juice at 66º Brix), a 4.4% drop compared to the previous year. According to the executive director of CitrusBR, Ibiapaba Netto, the performance reflects an atypical start to the season, marked by delayed harvest and a demand for higher quality fruit. Data from Fundecitrus show that, by mid-August, only 25% of the crop had been harvested, compared to about 50% in the same period last year.
