Orange production in Turkey, particularly in Adana, has increased by 10 percent this year, with an average yield of 4 tons per decare. The early oranges grown in Yüreğir district are not only consumed domestically but also exported to Russia, Eastern Europe, and Saudi Arabia, with prices in the garden varying between 3 and 4 lira. The Yüreğir Chamber of Agriculture President Mehmet Akın Doğan stated that while the yield was high this year, prices for oranges are lower than last year, but some costs were saved due to state support. Additionally, Egypt and Greece are considered rivals to Turkey in orange exports.
