The Gandaki Province in Nepal has seen a 10% increase in orange production, reaching a total of 55,935 metric tonnes and valued at Rs 2.7 billion for the year. With 30% of the oranges still on the trees, the hill districts are experiencing a bumper harvest. Syangja district led in production with 15,180 metric tonnes, while Lamjung produced 715 metric tonnes. Farmers are currently selling oranges at Rs 50 per kilogram, but those left in the trees and in storage can significantly increase in price.
