The National Commission for Development and Life without Drugs (Devida) ratifies its commitment to strengthening the productive chain of these grains in the Valley of the Apurímac, Ene, and Mantaro Rivers (Vraem). Through various actions, it provides technical support to 7265 families and organizations, with the objective of consolidating a legitimate and sustainable economy in the area. This year, Devida provides technical assistance to 4738 cocoa farming families who cultivate 5313 hectares; it also assists 2527 coffee farming families who work 2994 hectares of crops. This support allows for improved yield, grain quality, and income for the producing families. Furthermore, it strengthens 72 cocoa and coffee organizations through training in organizational management, commercial articulation, and business development.
