In spite of challenges like prolonged rain and cold autumn, farmers in Lipetsk region have managed to conclude the 2022 agricultural season with a record harvest, particularly in soybeans and rapeseed. The region has seen its largest soybean crop ever, over 260,000 tons, and nearly record-breaking rapeseed collection, approximately 117,000 tons. Sunflower harvest is nearing completion, with a total of over 435,000 tons collected. The Lipetsk Ministry of Agriculture highlighted the record soybean yield of 22.9 centners per hectare and noted that the overall yield for all oilseeds has improved from the previous year. Approximately 390,000 hectares were dedicated to oilseeds in Lipetsk fields, resulting in a harvest of over 820,000 tons.
