Paraguay audits Chilean plant to import pork intestines from 2026

Representatives from the National Service for Animal Health and Quality (Senacsa) traveled to Chile to participate in an official audit of the Insuban pig offal processing plant, located in the capital of the South American country. The verification included the evaluation of safety procedures, sanitary and hygienic conditions, traceability systems, supporting documentation, and compliance with the requirements established for export. Julio Barrios, the general director of Quality and Safety of Animal Products at Senacsa, explained that during the visit, technical meetings, document review, tours of the processing areas, and verification of the implemented operational controls were conducted. "The activity is part of the ongoing work to strengthen the sanitary system and cooperation between both countries, with the aim of guaranteeing safe and quality products," he indicated.
