Paraguay's National Animal Quality and Health Service (Senacsa) has lifted the state of emergency for avian influenza, which had been in effect since June 14. While the emergency has been lifted, surveillance and monitoring of high-risk areas such as water bodies and migratory bird areas will continue. Paraguay's Poultry Farmers Association (Avipar) has stated that the outbreak has been controlled and that biosecurity measures should be strengthened in all poultry farms.
