Within the framework of the 29th Annual Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Regional Fund for Agricultural Technology, held in Argentina, the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri), representing Peru, assumed the presidency of Fontagro for the period 2026-2027. This important appointment consolidates the country's leadership in innovation and agricultural sustainability in Latin America and the Caribbean. Midagri participated actively in the event, which constitutes a key space to reinforce Peru's institutional presence in the areas of regional governance, especially before Fontagro, allowing our country to intervene in decision-making related to alliances, memberships, project calls, and technical research priorities in agriculture.
