Peru and Vietnam have established phytosanitary protocols for the export of fresh mandarin from Peru to Vietnam. This was announced by Peru's Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) following a technical meeting between the country's and Vietnam's phytosanitary authorities. The Vietnamese authorities are also considering protocols for the export of Peruvian blueberries. The Peruvian delegation, led by the director of Plant Health of Senasa and the Ambassador of Peru in Vietnam, presented the progress in accessing the Vietnamese market for blueberries. Sales of Peruvian agro-exports, including traditional agricultural products like unroasted coffee and cane sugar, have seen a significant increase of 20.7% in the first nine months of the year, reaching US$ 8,037 million.
