This country is one of the largest per capita consumers of Peruvian mango and projects an initial demand of 1,000 boxes per week of this new variety. LATIDA's CEO, Juwon Sul (Juan), highlighted the potential of this opening: "The Peruvian mango is so valued in Korea that we decided to get ahead of the Kent season and bet on a new variety. The Korean consumer appreciates consistency, aroma, and presentation, and the Edward meets all of these. The climate and altitude of Peru give it a firm texture and cleaner sweetness."
