(Agraria.pe) Between January and May of 2025, Peruvian fruit exports totaled US$ 2,346 million, showing a growth of 27.8% compared to the US$ 1,836 million reported in the same period last year, according to the Agroexport Management of the Association of Exporters (ADEX). It detailed that in the first five months of this year, the main fruits shipped by Peru were grapes with US$ 757,567,000 (+57%), accounting for 32% of the total, avocados with US$ 657,275,000 (+28%) and mangoes with US$ 360,279,000 (+15.4%). Blueberries were also shipped for US$ 273,826,000, pomegranates for US$ 98,162,000, tangerines for US$ 60,009,000, bananas for US$ 50,959,000, lemons for US$ 29,963,000, strawberries for US$ 16,057,000, pineapples for US$ 15,329,000, among others. The trade group indicated that in the period analyzed this year, the United States was the most important buyer of Peruvian fruits, with purchases of US$ 908,323,000 (+42.5%), accounting for 38.7% of the total.
