(Agraria.pe) Peruvian pineapple closed 2024 with results significantly superior to previous years and started 2025 with enough momentum to aim for the first time to surpass US$ 50 million. Between January and October of 2025, exports totaled US$ 43.2 million and 14,639 tons, far above the US$ 25.2 million and 7,746 tons of the same period in 2024 (+71% in value and +89% in volume). According to the consultancy Fresh Fruit, the average price was US$ 2.95/kg, 9% less than the US$ 3.26/kg of 2024; despite this, the higher volume sustained and even accelerated the growth of the exported value, consolidating the pineapple among the most dynamic products of Peruvian agro-exportation. In terms of destinations, 27 markets were served (four less than in 2024). The United States maintained a strong leadership with US$ 37.4 million (86% of the total export value), 13,294 tons at an average price of US$ 2.82/kg.
