Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, the demand for red carp in Vietnam has led to double the price compared to last year, reaching 100,000 to 120,000 VND per kilogram. This has resulted in increased income for those raising the fish, with one family expecting to earn over 400 million VND by exporting over 4 tons. The Thuy Tram red carp village, famous for this breed since the 1960s, has seen a surge in orders both locally and online, nearly selling 45 tons of red carp so far. The economic impact of red carp farming is significant, contributing to the local economy and recognized as a symbol of good luck and prosperity.
