The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas, stated this Wednesday, in the Congress of Deputies, that he hopes a new fisheries agreement with Morocco will be concluded "in the near future." Planas mentioned the fisheries protocol between the European Union (EU) and Morocco, currently suspended, in response to an interpellation from the BNG in the plenary session of Congress, regarding the problems and challenges of the sector. "We aim to conclude a new agreement with Morocco in the near future," Planas emphasized, referring to the fishing agreements signed by the EU with third countries, which allow more possibilities for the community fleet.
