Plantation support will be available again in Hungary

The Minister of Agriculture reminded that, according to the summary of the Ministry, farmers applied for support in the amount of more than HUF 20 billion for the call announced in 2021, with a budget of HUF 15 billion. Stakeholders plan to create about 2,500 hectares of new intensive orchards and 1,700 hectares of new herb plantations. The head of the ministry also explained that based on the reopened call, support can be applied for the establishment of fruit and herb plantations with high productivity and high crop safety under fundamentally unchanged conditions. However, those interested can expect some changes, the minister noted, drawing attention to the possibility of establishing hop plantations as a new supported species.
