Brazil: Planting of safrinha corn is at 66% in Paraná, with summer harvest at 65%, points out Deral

The Department of Rural Economy (Deral) of the Paraná Department of Agriculture and Supply released its weekly report showing weather and cultivation conditions for the state's main crops. According to the survey, crops from the 2023/24 summer corn harvest are divided into 9% still in fruiting and 91% already maturing. Meanwhile, 65% of the area has already been harvested as of this Monday (26). Deral technicians also classified 63% of the crops as having good development conditions, 29% as average and 8% as poor. At the same time, second-crop corn crops already planted reached 66% of the total forecast, and are divided between germination (17%) and vegetative development (83%).
