Poland doubled its egg imports, the main supplier is Ukraine

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Poland, in the same period in 2025, Polish producers exported 179.8 thousand tons of eggs for various purposes (in 2024 – 181.6 thousand tons). Poland imports most eggs from Ukraine. In the first three quarters of last year, 5.6 thousand tons were imported from Ukraine, while in 2025 – already 10 thousand tons (taking into account the fact that data for 9 months of 2025 may still be revised). Latvia is in second place: in 2024, 2.5 thousand tons were imported from this country, and in 2025 – 3.9 thousand tons. A significant increase was also recorded in the case of Bulgaria, from where 2.1 thousand tons were imported (in January-September 2024 – only 19 tons).
