A trilateral meeting between Lithuania, Poland, and Ukraine, initially aimed at discussing agricultural export negotiations, particularly for berries and apple concentrate, shifted focus towards grain issues and the political implications of reducing trade with Belarus and Russia. Despite the official agenda, Taras Bashtannik, President of the Ukrainian Fruit and Vegetable Association, noted a significant deviation towards urging Poland to halt trade with Belarus and Russia, as pushed by Lithuania. However, Bashtannik also reported optimistic, albeit unofficial, discussions regarding the transit and sale of Ukrainian berries in Poland, despite concerns over low prices affecting market access. Future discussions are anticipated to address these concerns more thoroughly, with a positive outlook on grain sales to the Polish market being highlighted.
