TEHRAN- The value of Iran’s pomegranate export increased by more than 120 percent during the first eight months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-November 21, 2023), as compared to the same period of time in the past year, according to the director-general of the tropical and semi-tropical fruits office of Iran’s Agriculture Ministry. Zahra Jalili-Moqaddam said that 12,600 tons of pomegranate worth about six million dollars were exported in the mentioned eight-month period, indicating also 70 percent growth in terms of weight year on year.
