REPUBLIKA.CO.ID,JAKARTA — The government is carrying out a transformation of the national fertilizer subsidy through the issuance of Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 113 of 2025 as a revision to Perpres Number 6 of 2025 on the Management of Subsidized Fertilizers. This regulation positions the change in the subsidy scheme as the foundation for a comprehensive overhaul, shifting from an output subsidy approach to a more sustainable input subsidy. Head of the Subsidized Fertilizer Section of the Directorate General of Agricultural Infrastructure and Facilities (PSP) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Yustina Retno Widiati, said that Perpres 113/2025 also strengthens the direction of national policy in restructuring the subsidized fertilizer system.
