Thanks to the agreement with Italian Electronic Merchandise Exchange (Bmti) and Italmercati we are publishing the fruit and vegetable prices at the wholesale markets as at 15 May 2023. Below is a summary of the main types of fruit and vegetables on the market. In the downloadable pdf you will find the details of the graphs and the surveys on the main Italian squares: Milan, Bologna, Padua and Rome. The asparagus campaign is coming to an end, a factor that has contributed to a further increase in prices. Prices are at high levels thanks to a lower harvest of the product, but also balanced by good quality. Still a drop for green beans, as is physiological for the period. Production is catching on, albeit at a slower pace due to the bad weather affecting the peninsula. The Moroccan product, which is still present, has managed to conquer a part of the demand while the Italian production is gradually gaining space.
