On Monday, 11-26-2024, the prices of imported feed and raw materials used in the agricultural sector saw an increase, affecting the cost of various types of animal feed. The prices for broiler feed rose to a range of 18,500 to 22,000 pounds, with other feed types such as laying hens, cattle, duck, rabbit, sheep, pigeon, quail, turkey, camel, horse, ostrich, and concentrates also experiencing price hikes. The increase in feed prices is attributed to rises in the global market prices of key raw materials like corn, soybean meal, and sunflower meal, as well as the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian conflict and higher global fuel prices. These factors have led to a surge in production costs, particularly in the poultry sector, where feed makes up a significant portion of expenses.
