REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded the national Farmer Exchange Rate (FER) in September 2025 at 124.36. This figure represents a 0.63 percent increase from the previous month, which was 123.57. The rise occurred because the index of prices received by farmers (It) increased more than the index of prices paid by farmers (Ib). BPS Deputy for Production Statistics, M Habibullah, explained that the increase in the FER was particularly influenced by several leading commodities. "The index of prices received by farmers or It rose by 0.71 percent, higher than the increase in the index of prices paid by farmers (Ib) by 0.08 percent. The dominant commodities affecting the increase in the price index are coffee, palm oil, red chilies, and rubber," said Habibullah, Wednesday (1/10/2025).
