Between January and September of 2024, the catch of fishing enterprises in the freshwater bodies of Primorsky Krai significantly increased by 78.1 percent compared to the previous year, totaling 326.9 tons. This surge is primarily due to industrial fishing activities in areas such as Lake Khanka, the Razdolnaya and Ussuri rivers, and inland water bodies along the Sea of Japan coast. The Lake Khanka basin contributed the most to this catch, with a volume of 176.1 tons, followed by the Razdolnaya and Ussuri rivers, and inland water bodies of the Sea of Japan coast. The main freshwater catches for the year included rudd, mullet, carp, crucian carp, and horse carp.
