Privileges for the agro-export sector, a constant in the national history

On September 22, the Government through decree 682/2025 eliminated the withholdings on grains and by-products until October 31 or until the $7 billion in Declared Sales to the Exterior (DJVE) are settled. The latter happened and in record time. A financial measure to obtain foreign currency in the foreign exchange market, which was known, could not be sustained due to the pressure from the harmed U.S. agrarian interests, now under the tremendous heat of Trump over our heads. Although the decree aimed to reduce the export duties of certain agro-industrial goods, this measure was only maintained for three days, benefiting almost exclusively the large exporting cereal companies.
