Peru produces 7.4 million liters of pisco annually, primarily in Ica and Lima regions, with a significant portion of it exported. The country's pisco industry is recognized for its artisanal process and high-quality grape varieties, with the United States, Japan, and Spain being the main markets. The Ministry of Production (PRODUCE) is dedicated to promoting and protecting pisco, working in collaboration with the National Pisco Commission (CONAPISCO) and the Technological Institute of Production (ITP). Recently, UNESCO recognized the Peruvian origin of pisco, reinforcing its status as a symbol of Peruvian identity and heritage.
