Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended the food embargo on food supplies from countries that have imposed or supported anti-Russian sanctions until 2022. The embargo, which was first imposed in 2014, initially against the USA, EU, Australia, Norway and Canada, and later extended to include other countries, bans the import of various food products from these countries. Since 2015, products from 'sanctioned' countries are subject to destruction, and since August 2015, the transit of products from these countries is possible only with the use of GLONASS seals and registration coupons from drivers.
