[Korean Farmers' News Reporter Lee Woo-jung] To emerge as a central hub for the spread of regenerative organic agriculture, Pyeongchang County has joined hands with the government, businesses, and farms. On the 1st, Pyeongchang County, together with the National Institute of Agricultural Science, Orion Corporation, and Yukbaek Magi Farm, signed a memorandum of understanding for the creation of a regenerative organic agriculture foundation at the Pyeongchang Agricultural Technology Center. This agreement is significant as it represents a new public-private cooperation model aimed at addressing climate change and promoting sustainable agriculture. Currently, about 70% of the 165 tons of green manure seeds distributed domestically rely on imports. However, imported seeds undergo disinfection during quarantine, which limits their use by environmentally friendly farms.
