Rains cheer up coffee growers

Rains in mid-September have cheered Brazilian coffee growers, as they are expected to favor the development of the 2026/27 crop. This is what researchers from the Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics (Cepea) have found. According to Cepea researchers, producers are now waiting for the opening of flowers in most arabica crops in the Southeast region of Brazil. By the end of the month, some agents consulted already indicated the beginning of flowering in certain plots. But a more significant portion is expected to flower in these early days of October. In the irrigated regions, Cepea collaborators report that the crops show significant flowering, indicating good potential for the next crop. In the dry areas, flowering is somewhat delayed.
