Record harvest of apples and cereals in Ukraine

An exceptionally high apple harvest is expected in Ukraine. Taras Basztannik, president of the "Ukrainian Association of Fruit and Vegetable Producers", expects that there will be an excess of apples not only in Ukraine, but also in many European countries. This means that the prices of apples in trade will drop to the level of 2019, when the fruit cost about seven hryvnia (PLN 1.03) per kilogram. This price differs significantly from the prices from 2020, when the highest quality apples were sold by fruit growers for as much as 35 hryvnia (PLN 5.14) per kilogram. Apples from Ukraine have amateurs all over the world. Growers successfully ship fruit to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, EU countries and Singapore.
