[Korean Farmers and Fishermen Newspaper Reporter Jo Young-kyu] As the launch of the agricultural and forestry satellite next year approaches, attention is being drawn to the role of the agricultural satellite center, which reprocesses the satellite's images into information that can be utilized in the agricultural field to support decision-making in farming. The expectation is that the agricultural satellite center can help farmers increase the precision of agricultural operations in response to climate change. This is the reason why the Korea Precision Agriculture Society set the theme of the '2025 Autumn Academic Conference' as 'See Precision Agriculture with Satellites.' The Korea Precision Agriculture Society, on November 20 last year, included the Director Lee Chung-geun, who is the head of the Agricultural Robot Department at the National Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology, and former Director Professor Jung Sun-ok from Chungnam National University, among others.
